From the moment DeeDee was born we had a connection. DeeDee felt that connection as well, and it didn’t take her long to escape the play area and make the arduous climb up the stairs to be with me. It is then our journey together began.
As DeeDee grew we experienced many adventures together and along the way our connection grew strong. Her personality was bright, beautiful and enthusiastic. She met all new challenges with zeal and was always ready to have fun. Of course life was not always fun and games. DeeDee was smart and discerning. If she felt danger she often would place herself between me and the concern and not move, protecting me, until the threat passed.
DeeDee also had a streak of naughtiness that always made me smile. Throughout her life she found ways to get what she wanted and this often occurred when she knew I was not looking. Of course she had no remorse! She could be a sneaky, sassy girl and I loved her all the more for it.
All through her life DeeDee exceeded my expectations. She excelled in all areas from conformation to obedience to field to agility. Not only was she amazing at all she took on she had fun and it was easy to see the smile on her face and the enjoyment in her eyes.
DeeDee has passed on that beautiful personality and enthusiasm for life to her offspring. Over and over again you can see the sparkle in their eyes that so often DeeDee would express.
DeeDee was a one of a kind. She brought me joy everyday. We shared a bond that will never be broken, and I will miss her always.
